What Learning Disability Support Looks Like
Learning disability support covers a wide range of help, from a few hours a week to full-time, live-in care, depending on what someone needs to live safely and confidently in their own home. It can include support with daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and personal care, help getting to appointments and social activities, and support building routines and communication skills.
Every support plan is different, because every person's needs, goals, and level of independence are different. Some people need light-touch support to stay on top of day-to-day tasks; others need more comprehensive, hands-on care. Our role is to build a plan around the person, not fit them into a fixed package.
